Confirm support for provision of up to 4,000 dwellings towards the unmet needs of the GBBCHMA, would have preferred apportionment to be agreed using travel to work information rather than agreeing an apportionment with the GBBCHMA.

Although the Black Country Plan is no longer being taken forward, individual local authoirties are progressing plans and there is still evidence of a huge housing shortfall across the Black Country, including 19,363 homes from Sandwell.

Welcome and support the employment land contribution to the Black Country of 36ha (general) + 67ha (WMI).

The Black Country Urban Capacity Review Update 2020 demonstrated that there was an employment land need of 590-870ha and a shortfall of 273-553ha.
