Both of the allocations for Cheslyn Hay (site refs: 119a and 523) adjoin operational mineral sites. These allocations are already in the Site Allocations DPD as safeguarded land and are subject to a key requirement which states: 'Site layout and design should be based on an environmental assessment that takes into account permitted mineral operations and avoids additional restrictions being imposed on those operations'. This requirement should be restated for both allocations in appendix C.
