Strategic Objective 1is to 'Protect the Green Belt and open spaces as far as possible'. In my opinion this should mean that brownfield sites are used, not just considered, to fulfil this objective. If planners start to encroach on Green Belt land while we still have other options then how long will our Green Belt last .... our environmental 'lungs' and areas to provide much needed 'well being ' environments?
