The Strategic objective of "making a contribution to the unmet Greater Birmingham Housing needs" is totally incompatible with the Objective of protecting the Green Belt and rural nature of the District whilst also looking to improve Farm diversification and Tourism development. The large Housing growth identified in this "plan" demonstrate the incompatibility of these two objectives. South Staffs is not responsible for the Greater Birmingham Housing target and should not be delivering solutions to such a problem. Any Housing Growth in support of the Combined Authority Housing need is not compatible with an appropriate Local Plan for the District.
