I do not accept the need for such aggressive and high numbers of housing growth when compared to the plans of neighbouring Metropolitan authorities in the Combined Authority Area. These numbers just look like the Combined Authority trying to meet its Housing Growth targets by "dumping" development into neighbouring rural areas. This will promote unnecessary traffic and car journeys by people commuting from the rural area to the West Midlands for work when Carbon footprint is becoming more significant and the local infrastructure is inadequate to bear this extra load.
