Object to limited growth at Tier 1 Cheslyn Hay/Great Wylrey contrary to Strategic Objective 2. In contrast significnt growth at strategic allocations (SA2 and SA3) are proposed in Tier 3 Essington and Coven. This is contrary to 2002 Structure Plan High Court judgment that found Cheslyn Hay a sustainable location for growth, in contrast to Essington.
Strategy has failed to take account of electrification of the Chase Line and accessibility to other public transport and services and facilities.Accessibility mapping used for the Rural Services and Facilities Audit uses 2017 baseline and does not factor in these upgrades to the line. Fails to meet NPPF para 124 requirements for prioritizing PDL or areas well serviced by public transport when considering Green Belt release. Also conflict with NPPFs paras 11, 16, 105, 110 which seek to align growth with infrastructure.
